1. MoreMountainExperience – varied nature activity program at Turracher Höhe
Daily alpine nature experiences for everyone from contemplative to sporty-active with the summer program “Mehr Berg-Erleben“ (MoreMountainExperience) organized by the tourism association Turracher Höhe. The mountain-lake paradise Turracher Höhe offers the ideal setting for individual nature enjoyment and discoveries. The location at the heart of the Nockberge Mountains at the foot of the national park at 1,763 m/5,784 ft altitude is sure to leave lasting impressions on visitors returning from a leisurely hike around the three lakes or a barefoot walk. There are a number of challenging mountainbike tours on offer including guided tours such as the “Get to know the Turracher Höhe by mountain bike“ tour. The “Swiss stone pine walk“ introduces guests to the world of the Swiss stone pine, a rare conifer species characterizing this region. During a break on the walk, visitors will have the chance to make a scented bag; one of the many ways to get a glimpse behind the scenes of nature. Various hikes of medium difficulty up to Schoberriegel or Kornock, the two local mountains or more extensive tours through the gentle mountain landscape with summits reaching up to 2,400 m/7,874 ft promise wonderful nature enjoyment in the Nockberge mountains. Children are invited to join an expedition once a week, a half day nature discovery tour especially for kids.
2. The Barbara trail: a new themed hiking path at Turracher Höhe
The Barbara trail is a scenic path following the traces left by the historic Turrach mining tradition, providing interpretive information on the particularities of Turrach’s splendid mountain world.
An easy 2-hour walk along the Barbara trail showing visitors of Turracher Höhe the rich diversity and characteristics of the high plateau illustrated by a number of show boards on the topics of mountain trees, pastures, meadows, mining work, view, power or danger.
3. "Nocky’s AlmZeit" - games & adventures at 2,000 m/5,662 ft above sea level
Nocky’s AlmZeit, located close to the Panoramabahn top station and the Nocky Flitzer Alpine roller coaster, is the new fun-packed adventure playground for adults and children open at Turracher Höhe.
The time oasis Nocky’s Almzeit invites adults and children to experience happy moments with “Nocky“ the mountain bunny accompanying visitors on their expedition along the AlmZeit circular trail featuring seven exciting game stations specially designed for Turracher Höhe.

4. alpin+art+gallery - the museum of crystals and gemstones at Turracher Höhe with a special exibition dedicated to the Amethyst gemstone
Since its opening in 2000, the Alpin+Art+Gallery – treasury of nature museum of the Kranzelbinder family features special exhibitions devoted to a particular topic. This year it is the Amethyst, queen of precious stones.
