Annual Austrian ICE POLO Trophy March 7 – 10, 2013

Lake Turracher See turned into ice polo field

The atmosphere is unique: an Alpine lake turned into a polo field. Similar to the classic polo event in Switzerland’s glamorous resort St.Moritz. In Austria however, the focus is on family & friends’ polo with general free entrance to the games.

Following last year’s great premiere, the Austrian Ice Polo Trophy tournament is scheduled on the first weekend in March 2013 on lake Turracher See. Situated between the provinces of Carinthia and Styria at 1.763 m altitude it will provide the unique location for the tournament that will be launched on Friday, March 9th with training sessions.

Friday, March 8 is the first day of the games. Anyone who doesn’t feel like going home straight after is invited to spend the night celebrating with the polo players during the “Players Night“. Sunday, March 10, 2013 is the final day.
