Provision of the website

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect your IP address, communication data, browser version and the operating system used in our log files for the purpose of providing this website. This data will be deleted or anonymized after 6 months. We need the data to protect our website from attacks and misuse and for anonymized statistical evaluation.

The use of a content management system may require the storage of technical cookies on your computer when you visit our website. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. If you opt out of accepting cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited. We assume if your settings allow the use of cookies that you accept the cookies available on our website.

The data is processed jointly by Bergbahnen and TMG.

Web analysis tools

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", which are text files that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analyzed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on a server in the United States. If the IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within the area of member states of the European Union or in other signatory states of the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating how you use this website, compiling reports on website activities and providing further services relating to website activity and internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be associated with other data held by Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, please note that, if you do so, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

Booking requests through our website forwarded to member companies

If a booking enquiry is made through this website, we collect the personal data disclosed to us for handling the request. For this purpose, TMG may share these data with the Tourismusverband Turracher Höhe and the Tourismusverein Turracher Höhe. Whenever you send an enquiry to one of our member companies or place a booking with one of them, the data you enter will be forwarded to the selected member/accommodation provider. The legal basis for processing these data are pre-contractual measures taken on your own initiative. If you place an order with an accommodation provider following the booking inquiry, the business may further process the data received from you for this purpose. These data will be stored by us for a period of six months for the purpose of processing your booking requests.

Other requests

If you submit inquiries to us regarding other products and services, TMG will transfer your data to business partners that support us in the processing of the inquiry. These data will be stored by us for a period of up to six months for the purpose of processing your request.

Lift tickets / Season passes

In order to prevent ticket fraud, we conduct access controls of all ski pass holders passing the turnstile at any of our cable cars or lifts and record location and time the ticket is activated. These transaction data are linked with your pass number.

If you purchase a season pass, we also process additional personal information together with the transaction data, such as your name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth and ski pass photo. Although it is technically possible to assign the transaction data directly to you, the additional information for season pass holders is exclusively recorded for security and fraud prevention purposes (e.g. misuse of ski passes) and not to monitor your activity.

Bergbahnen is responsible for the processing of data when you purchase a lift pas or season ticket.

Photo points

By triggering the camera at one of our photo points, you agree that the photo, together with the date it was taken, is published on our website at your request.

You may revoke your consent at any time and have the photo deleted by sending a message to office@turracherhoehe.at. Please attach a copy of your ID and a good quality passport photo to enable us verify to your identity on the published picture taken at the photo point. This is necessary in order to prevent our removal of photos in the case of a falsified revocation. Your picture will automatically be deleted after thirty days. Photo points are operated by Bergbahnen.

Photos taken at the Nocky Flitzer

A souvenir photo is taken during your Nocky Flitzer ride and can be purchased afterward at the valley station. The photo will be deleted within 24 hours after the ride. The legal basis of this processing activity is our legitimate interest as the responsible data handling party. You have the right to object at any time to our taking your photo. However, it can be assumed that the interest of the responsible party in the creation and use of the photos does not excessively interfere with the rights and freedoms of the natural persons, especially since they have voluntarily gone into a public space and were notified of the creation and use of the photos in advance. Should, however, the rights and freedoms of a depicted person be violated for reasons particularly worthy of consideration, we will refrain from further use of the applicable photos by means of suitable measures.

 Video surveillance

We process your personal data collected from video surveillance of our company premises and public areas in order to ensure preventive protection of persons and property. These areas are clearly marked with appropriate symbols. Video data are stored up to 48 hours. Image material from the video surveillance may be disclosed to the police, and later to our lawyer and courts, for criminal investigation. The video surveillance is performed by Bergbahnen.

Customer database and own-purpose marketing of Bergbahnen

We can collect customers’ personal data in our customer database for our own marketing purposes. According to the Austrian Telecommunications Act, unless you opt out, we have the right to provide you, by email, with promotional material on products similar to those already purchased in the past. We store your personal data for this purpose until the end of the third year following our last contact with you. The legal basis of this processing activity is the legitimate interest of the responsible data handling party, that is, Bergbahnen.

E-mail newsletter

By subscribing to our newsletter you agree to the processing of the personal data entered by you for this purpose. You can revoke your consent at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of each newsletter or by contacting TMG via the contact details mentioned above. The newsletter is sent to you by TMG. Your data will be stored up to three years after the last delivery of the newsletter to your provided email address.

Mass mailings

If we send email messages, e.g. in the form of a newsletter or to several recipients for our own marketing reasons, we may commission an advertising agency or IT service provider and transfer your data to them for processing purposes. If this service provider (‘processor’) has server locations in other EU countries to which your data is transferred, we will request an adequate level of protection of your personal data prior to the commissioning. These may include, for example, adequacy decisions of the European Commission or standard contractual clauses (SCC) with the processor.

The email open rate may also be measured with tracking pixels, links or the traditional „I’ve read the message“ confirmation. We do this based on our legitimate interest to optimize the content of our email messages.

Furthermore, we can assess immediately if an error occurred in the process of sending the message to you. If we determine that your email address is no longer valid, we will not process your data for further emails to the respective address.

Deletion

We store personal data for as long as necessary for the fulfilment of a specific purpose and provided there is a legal basis. As soon as the purpose or the legal basis cease to exist, your personal data will be deleted from our live systems. Since the deletion of your data from our backups is not possible without proportional efforts from our side, we will delete them when reloading the backup.

Your rights

You are fundamentally entitled to the right to disclosure, rectification, erasure, limitation, data portability, revocation and objection. Please contact us for this purpose. If you believe that the processing of your data violates privacy laws or your privacy claims have otherwise been violated in any way, you may make a complaint to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Wickenburggasse 8, 1080 Wien.
